This Level 2 Developing Enterprise Skills course is ideal for learners who enjoy project-based learning, developing ideas and solving problems in practical, real-world situations. It is particularly suited to learners who are interested in business, enterprise or self-employment, or who want to build transferable skills that will support future education and employment.

Learners will explore what it means to be enterprising and discover how skills such as communication, initiative, creativity, adaptability and problem-solving can be used in everyday life, education and the workplace. They will also learn about the difference between being an enterprising person and becoming an entrepreneur.

Throughout the course, learners will plan and carry out a range of enterprise projects. These could include developing a product, planning an event, creating a marketing campaign, designing a service or exploring a small business idea. Learners will gradually build towards a more sustained final project, where they will develop their own idea from the initial proposal through to planning, budgeting, delivery and evaluation.

The course is suitable for beginners and there are no specific prior learning requirements. It is a strong option for learners who prefer coursework and practical projects to exams and who would like to develop confidence, independence and real-world skills.

We offer complete flexibility in our approach, removing many of the barriers faced by home-educated and EOTAS learners. There are no exams, controlled assessments or stressful trips to exam centres. Learners can complete the qualification from home and work at their own pace without the added anxiety of fixed deadlines or timetabled exam dates.

Learners will complete this fully guided qualification online through structured modules, project guidebooks, pre-recorded lessons and support from a subject-specialist assessor.

Work will be submitted and assessed online, with positive and encouraging feedback provided throughout the course. On successful completion, learners will receive their Ofqual-regulated NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Developing Enterprise Skills. The qualification has a credit value of 15 and is comparable in size to one GCSE at grades 4–9.
